A silver, hand- made tobacco box, with Agate stone on the upper part. Agate is named after the Achates River (now called the Dirillo) in Sicily, Italy. that was throughout the centuries a source of this gemstone. The art of dyeing it into various colours began with the Romans.  According to some mystic beliefs, green agate increases compassion, generosity and sense of justice, along with enhancing mental and emotional depth, improving decision-making and resolving disputes as it also may encourages these traits in others.
