This is a Filigree designed jewelry or perfumery box, made of pure silver. Filigree is the name of the technique of intricate metal used to form this piece. In the last few centuries, it was more of common use in the Iberian Peninsula and is influenced from the Moor and Spanish ornaments. Could had been used for the Jewish traditional "Havdala", taking place at the end of "Shabbat", Saturday, separating the holiday from the rest of the week.
