a Kiddush cup, made of pure silver, originally from Iran. One side shows the Menorah, a symbol of the Temple of Jerusalem, and on the other side a Magen David (known also as "Star of David"). The top engraving is in Hebrew, and it is the text of the blessing said on the wine during the Kiddush. Inside the star of David the writing says "Magen David" and "Zion". Kiddush is the name of the Shabbat meals, both on Friday evening and Saturday noon.
