A handmade, delicate silversmith work made in Tzar Russia. The plate has the engraving of the number 84, a historical indicator of silver purity during the Russian Tzar period, a practice dating back to 1798. In that era, the unit of measurement for purity was known as "Zolotniki," and a mark of 84 represented the "Silver Standard Mark," signifying that the silver contained 84 or more Zolotniki of purity.
